THE WIRED DIFFERENTLY BOARD
Wired Differently is led by a multidisciplinary team of educators, system designers, researchers, and lived-experience experts committed to rethinking how education serves diverse minds. Our work sits at the intersection of education, neuroscience, equity, and implementation strategy. We bring together professionals with backgrounds in teaching, program design, policy, creative innovation, and systems thinking—united by a shared goal: to build learning environments that work in the real world. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We believe in intelligent design, data-informed practice, and human-centered systems that support both students and educators. Together, we are building the infrastructure needed for education to evolve. Wired Differently is an education infrastructure organization focused on improving how learning systems support neurodivergent students. We work with schools, districts, and education partners to implement practical, research-informed approaches that align instruction with how students actually process information. Our work is not about changing students. It is about modernizing systems.
Wired Differently operates at the intersection of:
+ Education innovation
+ Neurodivergent learning science
+ Equity implementation
+ Institutional capacity building
We do not replace existing curricula or programs.
We strengthen the systems that deliver them.
What Makes Us Different?
Most education initiatives focus on policy or theory.
Wired Differently focuses on implementation.
We translate equity goals into real classroom practices that:
+ Support diverse learning styles
+ Reduce instructional friction
+ Improve engagement and outcome
+ Strengthen teacher effectiveness
Our approach is practical, scalable, and designed for real-world education environments.
Our Mission
To help education systems better serve neurodivergent learners through scalable, evidence-informed implementation models that improve outcomes for students and educators alike.
Our Global Vision
We envision education systems where:
+ Cognitive diversity is recognized as a strength
+ Learning environments adapt to students
+ Educators are supported with effective tools
+ Equity is operational, not theoretical
+ All students are given the opportunity to succeed
By 2030, Wired Differently aims to support education systems across multiple regions through scalable pilot programs and implementation partnerships.
Our Philosophy
We believe:
+ Learning is not one-size-fits-all
+ Neurodivergence is not a deficit
+ Equity requires structure, not slogans
+ Effective education adapts to the learner
+ Sustainable change happens through systems, not shortcuts
Wired Differently is built on the belief that when systems change, outcomes follow.
Why We Are Needed
Education systems today face increasing challenges:
+ Growing neurodivergent student populations
+ Rising teacher burnout and attrition
+ Behavioral and engagement challenges
+ Increased pressure to demonstrate equity outcomes
+ Limited practical tools for implementation
While equity and inclusion are widely discussed, schools often lack the frameworks to apply them effectively.
Our Solution
Wired Differently provides:
+ Structured implementation models
+ Educator training and support
+ Classroom-ready strategies
+ Outcome tracking and evaluation
+ Scalable program design
We help schools move from intention to impact.
What Sets Us Apart
✔ Implementation-focused, not theory-based
✔ Designed for real classroom conditions
✔ Aligned with equity and inclusion mandates
✔ Scalable across school systems
✔ Data-informed and outcome-driven
We don’t add complexity.
We bring clarity.

+ Clear data to guide next steps
Why Wired Differently Was Created
Wired Differently was founded by Patrizia Skald, in response to a gap between how education systems operate and how students actually learn.
Through lived experience, professional observation, and deep engagement with neurodivergent communities, it became clear that many students labeled as “difficult” or “underperforming” were not lacking ability — they were navigating systems not designed for them.
Wired Differently exists to change that.
We are committed to:
+ Evidence-informed practice
+ Ethical implementation
+ Scalable solutions
+ Long-term impact
+ Equity without performative language
We are not here to disrupt education.
We are here to help it evolve. That's why divergency prevails biologically.
